hi! I know that title is long but it pretty much sums it up. I want to get my family an indoor bunny as a pet. I hope to litter box train it so it can be free to roam the house. I have a few breeders I’m talking to with a variety of breeds. I tend to want the adorable small fizzy breeds like...
I don’t think so before we put the medicine on it. Before we put medicine on it, it had feathers on it but it was raised. It’s not bleeding and doesn’t look very irritated.
One of my 5 week old barred rock pullets has a spot on its head where the white spot was when it was a baby. The feathers were raised and sticking out so my husband put some medicine on it.
What is the matter with it?
I cannot figure out what this little chick is. All the chicks colored like it were much smaller than the other bantams.
It has silver/gray clean legs and speckles around its head.
What do you think?
...absolutely no wattles are certainly pullets. I just hoped that some of the other 3 with wattles might still be girls if theirs weren't as red.... *shrugs*
Back to the breeding though - I know I want to keep the splash cause he's pretty, so I could just keep him and my 2 black pullets and...
Hello,
I discovered BLR Wyandottes and found a breeder very close to me! I purchased 2 - three month old black BLR (a cockerel and pullet), and then 4 straight run chicks. One of the chicks is a splash and the breeder thought these a rooster which would be good for breeding. WELL fast forward a...
I have a 3.5 month old “cockerel” but he’s not crowed yet and several younger chicks I’m wonering about. What are your thoughts? I desperate to not have a bunch of roosters!!!
Great thank you!! I loved the little grey chick! And we had a Cochin before and simply adored her so I was so excited to see feather footed chicks again!
I bought different colors of bantams at my local Atwood’s.
Any guesses as to breeds?
Thank you!

I read where sometimes the small birds seem less of a threat so integrating earlier can be better idea... just something I read.
I have 3 different sets of chickens right now of varying ages and sizes. I tried combining 6 week old bantam chicks with 10 week old standard chicks and they started...
I love my sweet trio I bought from Atwood’s that I have no idea what breed they are, and I ended up with TWO roosters. BUT I just bought some Blue Lace Red Wynadottes! I can’t wait to see how they turn out.
I got two 10 week old black (1 rooster and 1 hen), and 4 chicks (1 hopefully a splash!)
