I'll probably keep him for another season. I wanted to try a different one because he's constantly on the verge of turning human aggressive, without actually being human aggressive. He's just trolling. He's been trolling for almost 2 years.
As for flock dynamics, he couldn't be more perfect...
No, he's a dual purpose, but even the bantams has a deeper crow than the ear-killing brain-devouring screech of my CL.
I don't intend to inseminate chickens lol, I have enough of that with the cows 🤣
sadly it's a myth!
The hen decides the size of the chick, regardless of the rooster. Small...
#1 name
Arlequin
#2 breed
Easter Egger (Bantam favaucana X Cream Legbar)
All the offspring from his mother comes out bantam - under 700 grams
#3 age (deceased birds allowed)
3 months but he's mature enough to mate adult hens and he's the head rooster of his bachelor flock made of dual purpose...
This vet is a joke! That amount of blood could mean
- cocci
- rat poison
- ingestion of a sharp object
phosporous does absolutely nothing! And I mean, nothing at all.
The hens like best the cockerels dad 🤣
Yep I already culled half of my bachelor flock. Suddenly all of them started crowing nonstop earlier than 5 am, at 6 am I had enough, jumped out of bed and culled all I could catch lol.
Of those who are left, one is beautiful but I'll have to cull...
At least your roosters were jerks.
Mine are the most gentlemen things in this world. And I have to cull them because I can only have 1 roo. I have no idea how to chose 1 to keep out of the bunch.
As owner of a bold CL rooster myself, I sadly think yours is too far gone to be rehabbed.
Babying roosters when young tend to bring the worst out of them when they grow up.
You should cull him before he seriously injure someone, or if you can't, you should give him to someone who can turn him...
Update on Peach batch!
Mary is 99% a boy!
Sunny is 90% girl!
Rimini is still 50/50
Caprese is 100% girl!
Ammos is 100% girl!
No idea about the others yet since they have a pea comb and can't be feather sexed.
Caprese has improved a lot and acting pretty much normal now.
Siena was lethargic...
Try what @coach723 suggested and see if she improves. Vitamin B deficiency happens in chicks.
I use vitamin b complex for human babies, you can find it easily at your pharmacy and it's stronger and better formulated and better preserved than vitamins for animal use. Mine is in liquid form. And...
My avian vet put pressure to determine if a limb is painful or not, and I guarantee it is clear as the sun if the bird feels pain or not.
This chicken is born that way. She is not in pain. Let's stop pretending to do diagnosis and prescribe culling as only cure without even touching the bird.
Wow... My flock must be made of saints. The other night I was baffled to see that my bachelor flock and my main flock merged and they were all roosting together. They're so peaceful I don't have the urge to cull the extra males anymore.

This is the most information there is on this forum.
As for science, I used to believe in official science. After 2020 I learned the hard way that official science is corrupted and full of ****.
Not my...
