Not very good pictures but they wouldn't keep still !:)
These are our silkie s there is still an egg in the incubator not piped but can still hear it so we are hanging on !
We have had a bit of yolk in our last batch egg but chick survived and now laying its own eggs so hopefully yours will be fine .
We have two eggs that have piped now (can not really see one i can only see a line not sure if its pencil or not !!!)
Hovering over the incubator every minute LOL.:)
This is one of our 5 eggs ,we are not worried any more as they have all grown the chick has filed almost the whole shell, getting ready for Thursday lock down and hatching on Easter Sunday. !
You said a while back that your chickens leg broke because the boy was to rough but i do not have a boy chicken , a cockrail!!!so I'm saying that one day it appeared to have a broken leg which is a sign of mareks disease .
I wouldn't hurt my animals .
My pictures never show any thing :(
I had one like that up side down feet over its leg we helped it just in time but was week and when a dog envaded the garden it didnt defend itself .
They rarely make it any way ,some people say if they don't make it through hatch they will not make it through life .But i never listen to this...
Haha thanks for the reassurance .Candled my eggs again today didn't see much movement and a thew vains which I'm not sure if it is blood line :/
Thanks again
Ps. The chicken that died had no crockrail and just woke up like it .I can not wait till hatching day :)
Any experts here ?
Just candled our eggs and a thew are almost completely black ,the othersyou could see a good thew vains in fairly big gaps ,we saw no movement are they alive ?

This restores a bit more faith but the did the leg one sided thing we have disinfected all are coops just in case, so I am hoping for the best !
Planning on candling the eggs today so will post images for others opinion s .
Thanks again helped alot !
Could you see a blood ring at all ? We have struggled to see movement before but it hatched in the end .
Congratulations on your other chicks and good luck on the rest .
The chicken lost weight and then today seemed to of had a stroke and died shortly after .
We have had a chicken do this before but just with the legs that one died a thew weeks later , we are thinking about risking it .
The eggs are doing well though , day 11 today candled days ago 4...
Sadly , today one of my cross silkie appeared to of had a stroke (and died ) or we think it may be mareks disease so we may sell are silkie chicks in the incubator when they hatch ,i do not want any more deaths or do we risk it ? Really upsetting wanted silkies so bad :-(
Just candled my silkie eggs at 5 days 5 were very visible and I could see the eyes but 1 looked infertile but 5/6 is pretty good. I am going away so hoping for the best , fingers crossed !!!!:-)
This is really sweet and a lovely thing to do we had a young cockrail for some reason when we went to feed him his leg was out to the side and hobbling around . He did the same thing as your duck, getting stuck and not being able to get back up, for a while but he just died after a bit and we...
