Good article. Thank you for all the pics. I like that the run was included in the design. Good that you used a wire skirt all the way around.
I like the large side door for clean-out. I like the storage underneath.
There is no ventilation mentioned. The windows maybe should have been covered...
I like the use of vertical space, the girls probably love the roosting in the rafters.
Seems like an awkward door to clean out of.
Excellent access to the nesting boxes.
Seems too large to reach all corners. Sometimes you need to catch a sick chicken, therefore a chicken keeper needs to...
Take its head off as quick as possible or let it bleed out.
The cervical dislocation can be difficult if you don't commit. I tried this and the bird started kicking again 5 mins later.
I don't want to be dramatic, but cutting the throat or beheading are for sure.
My husband thought so too, you will miss.
Now we use a shovel and a quick step down.
Or use an axe. Hold the body and head stretched out over a chopping block.
Keep hands clear, use a rope for the head.
I'm a little embarrassed, but I keep going back and forth on this babe. Probably about 6 months old. Haven't heard any crowing, makes little talking noises to itself .
Thanks for your help.

be worse in mating season. And you have to many ganders for a balanced flock.

My understanding was that geese only lay eggs once per year in the spring, about 20-35 eggs.
I now have 5 Goose Eggs from 2 or 3 girls in my incubator and I...
I would incubate myself and raise in a seperate pen until old enough to go out to the field. They don't need heat for as long as chickens. Geese would need to be Broody and have enough eggs to consider sitting.
From my own experience with young geese laying and sitting their first nest, they...
I didn't see a question in your post so I'll just make a couple comments:
I would not let this chicken breed, the next generation will be worse.
You could try using a dog toe nail trimmer to shorten the top beak, might match up better to allow easier eating.
Might be slow to develop because it...
