Yes, 6 of the 7 eggs hatched. No movement from the 7th egg yet, and tonight will be 22 days, so I will give it a little more time.
Here are my little fluff butts...
I set 7 "ameraucana" eggs, that someone gave me, on 9/9. I guess we will see what comes out :)
I candled them last night, and all 7 of them are showing some veining.
This is my second hatch. My last babies hatched on Labor Day.
I was really bummed today. They just opened a Trader Joe's about an hour from us. We made the trek down there, only to find out that they don't carry fertile eggs :(
Well, we have Labor Day babies! Four eggs hatched, but we had to euthanize one of the babies today :( I suspect maybe rickets. The fifth egg is still in the incubator, day is day 23. At last candling it looked good, so maybe there is still hope.
I really know nothing about Brahmas, but bought two a couple of weeks ago. Here are my two. They are a couple of months old. Their legs are very yellow. I don't know if they are pullets or cockerels, but I am being told they are probably cockerels :(
Thanks! Good luck to you also :)
I bought my new girls a couple of weeks ago. The two hens were in with a roo, but he was a noisy little bugger and we can't have roos in the city, so I had to give him away. I decided to incubate some of the hens eggs, in hopes that the roo had done his job...
Camo...looking more like a hawk everyday!
Harpo...still not sure.
Are these saddle feathers?
Harpo (far right) with some of the other EEs.
Mindy, just because...Opal sneaking in.
I haven't seen anyone plucking feathers in over 2 months. There are several of the EEs that are still covered with pin feathers down their backs and on their tails, while the others are fully feathered. I'm not sure why but Groucho, Harpo, Camo, Opal, Pearl, and Sonny are still growing in...
I set my eggs on 8/13. I wanted to find out if my new hens eggs were fertile, so I went out and bought an incubator. So far, they seem to be doing good. I have no idea what I am doing, but I really hope they make it.
Unfortunately, I don't really know the people that took him :(
I wish I would have kept him and just hid him in the garage, but check this out...I may be having babies :)

Here is how the story begins...
I bought these two girls, believed to be Silver Penciled Plymouth Rock Bantams, at an auction a two weeks ago tomorrow.
When I bought them, they were in with a gorgeous roo that looked like a male SPPRB. I can't have roos, so I gave him to the couple that...
