I don't think this song is as stupid and morally wrong as the one Kid Rock sang a few years ago with that female singer, can't think of her name . . .about the picture on the dresser and they are in bed with someone else . . .trying to get over the other person. I hate that song; I am...
Mucks! It's the only way to go for us. Our chickens are in the pasture with the goats so it does get a little tricky.
In the summer, on hot days, I wear old hiking shoes and then spray out the soles of them.
All these shoes either stay out in the barn or outside of the house. No cross...
Good morning! My boys starting crowing early this morning - around 4am. I'm not sure why they chose to wake me with such a slow, painful process.
About to load up with a second cup of coffee and try to get to work early.
So, let's talk coffee - what kind do people like? and how do you drink...
Good morning, everyone. I'm procrastinating this morning. It's back to work after a long weekend. The weekend was beautiful, productive and relaxing!
Chickenannie - I'm also for Southeast PA. I'm in Berks County.
Have a great day!
Good morning from cloudy Pennsylvania. I was about to pour my second cup of coffee and found this thread.
Today's going to be a slow day. Very soon, I'll feed the animals before it rains, then slug around the house doing some long overdue chores.
Have a great day.
I suspect there is something up with the baby alpacas ... no one who breeds them gives them away free. The money is in the breeding. Just a word of caution ...
Except - if you keep goats where they belong and securely they don't damage vehicles. We'd be eating (dairy) goat if it even looked at my husband's truck.
I love my goats! Lately, we have one hen that always jumps up on the back of a hen and waits for food. It's pretty funny!
I've learned:
Sometimes a chicken just gets sick even though I'm doing everything right.
Putting up a fence with your husband can be disasterous to the relationship and a great story and laugh a year later.
If you feed your dogs raw eggs - don't turn your back after you've collected the eggs...
Agreed with all of the above.
After training my keets ...they are set to free-range with the older guineas. They know where home is but they range, come home, and roost in the pine tree (within the fenced in area). They have no interest in coming back to their original coop. Sometimes, in...
Ugh! I love my guineas but they would never be allowed to sit on my car. Every once in a while they wander over to look at themselves in the reflection of the vehicle.
BTW, PA is Chevy nation
Pick the color you enjoy! Pearl, lavendar and white are most common. I think all are equally intelligent. I personally love the pearl. We lost them and now just have lavendar, lavendar pied, and white.
They will fly if they feel threatened or if they want to get out. But, at 4 weeks they're pretty young and I don't see it being a huge problem. Most likely they'll try to get out at the bottom of the fence. And, if one gets out you will know it. The others will call to it constantly.
