    I started with a long lead left attached to the dog and every time I saw one start to chase a chicken I grabbed lead gave good tug and gave command "leave it" after a while switched lead to shock collar and same thing but have to be consistant didnt take long for them to figure it out

    Dont dont give up on the dog I have three bird hunting dogs and they do ok with the chickens I dont leave them alone and keep my eyes on them but can free range chickens and have the dogs out with me no casualities yet in two years

    Good luck on lock down! I have done two batches of shipped eggs got 8 first time and 8 hatched second but two died following day.     Os Icelandics  do have leg feathering. Those with it are not crosses. Not many have it but it does show up. It is rare.
