Yes I use the worming mash, they love it but I don't have access to raw milk, you're meant to use raw milk. I have farms all around me so I should ask around. Looks like I have a broody wyandotte, for the last week shes been noticeably temperamental, the neck feathers stand up whenever she doesn't like something and now since yesterday she has been on the nest. Oh and I found another thing that may possiblycause them to go off their feed, I'm not sure but my last lot of organic feed that was delivered just over a week ago was dated November 2014. It doesn't look moldy but it certainly has me curious whether that could be the cause.- SherrieC

I think the only way to avoid worms would be to keep your chickens in a sterile environment without any "life". To me that just seems wrong, a facebook group I'm in warn that you should keep your chickens locked away from any wild birds. I realise that there's valid reason to that but at the...- SherrieC

I just use what ever organic garlic I can get hold of, he pretty much used an entire bulb. In his book it says 2 for 10 chickens, I just used a bulb incase it was a mistake. I've been wanting to grow hazelnuts for a while now, they're wind pollinated and you need a few different varieties so they can pollinate each other. From my reading when the hazelnuts are ready they drop to the ground, would the chickens then just eat them all?- SherrieC
