I really find it amazing that something so small and fragile when it emerges can get out of something like an egg. I sometimes have trouble cracking and opening fresh eggs for breakfast but these little fuzzy butts cut their own way out.
No and I have no way to get a shot without the wire. I have to door nailed shut. They will be released in the spring when the hawks are done hunting the area. They do however have white ear lobes if they helps any??
They were all supposed to be barred rocks. Some are not like the others 😂 Any ideas what the silver and golden ones are? They came from the barred rock tub at rural king. Not blaming them cause people move them around.

I think they did it for science class in school to show the students how a chicken forms. The way they are doing it they can show progression by being able to have a clear view from inside the cup. This way the chicken lives? Also it could be helpful in the future. You never know when you may...

Here is my BCM cockerals (at least I believe they are both cockerals) They are 7 weeks old will be 8 weeks this Tuesday. These are pics I just took like 10min ago. (they were not to happy about being woke up) I like the looks of the 2nd one the best but his legs have no feathers. The 1st 3 pics...
