I have a couple of Black Rocks and one started laying about a week ago, six eggs so far. They are pretty small eggs and I know that with the first few their systems are still trying to get it right. But the eggs have remained small. Don't Black Rocks lay larger eggs?
We just got six baby chicks and after a couple of days I noticed one not doing so good so we kept an eye one her and then she went down hill and we had to cull her. Then another started looking really bad. We separated this one from the rest and kept an eye on her. We even kept her in the house...
My girl just recently went through molting. After she started laying again, it only lasted for a few days then she stopped again. She then didn't eat much, in fact, hardly at all. I thought maybe it was the beginning of the end for her. But then she started eating again and with a good appetite...
Please think long and hard on doing that. If you don't kill the dog and only wound him, you could be cited for animal cruelty. It may not seem fair from where you stand, but usually that's the way it is. So just make sure your aim is good.
Another thing that stands out for me is I think that is an invasion of privacy, the fact that the neighbor's son took a picture of you in your own yard without your consent. I would find out what the law says about that. A tall enough fence to block their view is what you need at this point.
Ok, now I understand. Not being a smoker or a chewer my first thought was that they had just spit into it! Egg on my face, eh? Now I agree, it is gross!
Wait a minute, you are upset because this person used the trash can for trash? Maybe I missed something in your post. On another note, please be careful when pushing the trash down, there could be anything from broken glass to discarded needles to who knows what!
I love that website, also 'customer not always right' and 'not always working' (.com) i worked with the public for years and can really relate to these stories.
My hen lays brown eggs but the other day the shell was white! The following day it was brown again. She's never laid a white egg before. Is there something going on with her diet or with her? I haven't changed her food or made any other changes. Any one know what that was about? She is 2 years old.
I am going shopping on Monday and will stock up on meats such as liver. I've already started making the mixture of what I had on hand. I cooked up brown rice, added raw carrot and a can of tuna. Both our big dog and our new puppy love it.
