I managed to get the steel on the henhouse. Just the upper run to go. I'm going to try to crank that out tomorrow morning before the winds pick up. I've never seen so many vicious mosquitoes here @Justagalwithchicks
New steel on the old asphalt side of the chicken house. I was going to just put it on top of the asphalt, but discoveries found, plans changed. Taking forever due to breaks with the heat. but this is a large, high pitched roof and it will take two of us to move steel panels in the wind. Rain...

Better wait a bit. If you don't pass through Omaha by the first week in June, but after the early may flooding, you'll never make it through the plains and the first heavy snows in the Rockies. Too late to start now. Sigh.
We're into the humid 90s again. I am not a fan.
Lots of outdoor work.
I got the steel and trim picked up today.
The blackjack is on the run roof, maybe I'll work on that for a bit tomorrow, we'll see.
Either that, or I'll paint the barn door.
Chipping away at the 'to do' list
Tractor is paid...
I tore out the tomato plants today. There weren't even enough whitings out there to bother trying to ripen, and everything out there was left was tiny.

I have one more grape harvest to go.
As long as I was out there working, I removed one tomato cattle panel row to make room...
Trays of white diced onion, yellow sliced onion, pickle slices, sweet banana peppers, and cherry tomatoes (quarters) in the freeze dryer. @TJAnonymous OW!
In fact, if I call when they open and let them know I'm coming, they save their stuff all morning for me, and I take my 5 gallon bucket with lid (Starbucks only bucket) and they load it for me. THAT I add to compost.
This stuff I bought is dry. Smells incredible.
I ran away from home for 4 hours yesterday. I'm getting squirrelly sitting around here with contractors, and no one was here yesterday, so off I went. I went to my favorite farm store, up the valley about 45 minutes, and they had bags of recycled coffee grounds for henhouse mulch. OMG it...
I picked 6 qts of Concord grapes and 12 qts of catawbas. I still have about 12 qts on the vine of those still ripening. I left plenty on both vines for the birds and bunnies, and drunk bumble bees.
The concords I juiced today and will do jelly tomorrow or Sunday.
The catawbas my son will juice...
