Can you guys tell me if the females are loud. I have been reading about them and the mr. said I can have some ducks but we had some that I adopted but them had to give them away do to the fact that the female was really loud (I am in city limits) so I need quite ducks. I have chekens but no...
What you can do is buy 50lbs bags of the grain that used the most in recipes and buy like 10-20lbs of the other stuff and get a barrel or whatever and a smaller bucket and make a batch then dump until the barrel is full.
Hopefully they will start laying for you! Mine didn't lay in the box she laid on the coop floor but I don't care as long as she laid at this point LOL
Yesterday morning I told them they all were going to be roasted if I don't see some eggs (I said that very firmly too lol) and the hubby said...

Still no egg from my girl squatting a few days ago but one of them sure was making a lot of noise this morning which they never do. The only time I hear them is when they get picked on. So fingers crossed!!!

They have barley, oats, buckwheat and wheat among other stuff.
Hulled barley is $40.99 for 20lbs
I've been reading that and I think that would be more benifical and more cost effective then feeding just plain grain. For 8 chickens I can do just a couple of small/ med sized containers for them.
Once our privacy fence is up I'm gonna let them run around the yard for a little bit in the...
