The mother hen is a Delaware and she is such a good mom. We ended up with 5 chicks that are now 5 days old. Two eggs did not hatch...do you think the still will? I am thinking of taking those eggs out of the nest. The roo was a buff Orphington. the chicks look buff, one is yellow. Cant wait till...

Well we finally got a rooster.How fun to watch him guard and lead those hens with such authority He is a Buff Orph...He must have a gentle hand cause those hens follow him around and treat him like one of the girls...He does have his favorites though, he seems to like the blonds...
One of my buffs is brooding....think I could put fertilized eggs under her? where should I get them? any one have fertilized buff or Delaware eggs? no roster so I know hers are not fertilized.

I got busy and did not check in for the reply on the Delaware roo I need to find. Could not get my computer to hold it together through 20 pages....anyway does any one have a Delaware roo or know where I can get one?....prefer an adult
