    I think you are fine. Its just the same as any electrical device. People ship phones, computers, etc through the mail in the winter with no problems. I would think it would have to get really cold..like in the -'s to hurt anything like that.

    I understand what you are going through. I had about 50 ducks, and didnt realize how bad they were over winter. I couldnt keep up. They stank up a whole barn in one day. Listed most on craigslist, Im down to about 25, not as bad to manage..but definitely much harder than chickens.

    you shouldnt open the incubator after lockdown. if the egg is pipped & you open the incubator, it will cause it to shrink wrap because of humidity loss.
