Checking-In On Peeps - Post Here To Say Hello!

I haven’t been on in a long time! But I moved and have been helping my chickens adjust the past year. Also just got 8 more bringing my flock up to 12. Sadly one is a rooster and hasn’t suppose to be. I collect fancy chickens, they are more pets than anything else.

    Idaho falls area chicken laws

Hi, I just moved to the Idaho Falls area and was hoping to find a place where I can raise more than six chickens and hatch them with a rooster. Anyone know of a neighborhood where I can do that? Thank you!

    Naming chickens

I’m late to the party, but I name my chickens! They are all golden laced Wyandottes. We can tell them apart by personality and there are subtle differences, for example, one is extremely directionally challenged, and one is a bit smaller than the rest. Their names are Zita, Petra, Sorcha, Rose...

    7 week old cross beak

Here is my 7 week old with a cross beak. I’m wondering if this is a severe case considering how young she is and how best to care for her at this stage to encourage self reliance. She is smaller than the rest but seems to be hanging in there okay.

ISO show quality Golden Laced Wyandottes

Hi, where are you located? I have a free golden laced Wyandotte roo about 7/8 weeks old. I’m located in Auburn, Wa. Wyandotte’s make excellent show chickens as they are calm and beautiful.

No, not yet. He’s not crowing yet but getting pretty territorial which is cute.

Leaving chickens for the first time

No problem. I personally am loving my eglu and run. I did reinforce the run with hardware cloth .

Leaving chickens for the first time

There’s a couple threads about eglu safety on here. I’d rather not get into it.

Some people take great issues with the cost, space, and safety of the eglu.

Auburn, WA- free Golden Laced Wyandotte Roo

Six week old GLW rooster, free. We can’t keep roosters in our area ( this is our first batch of chickens and really struck out with one of the six being a rooster and one being a cross beak despite being bought at a reputable store and sexed). He was Luna but now he’s Lucas. He was my daughter’s...

    Rehoming a young GLW rooster

I’m searching for a good home for our Golden Laced Wyandotte roo who is about 5 weeks old. We cannot keep roosters in the city limits. I’m positive Luca (formerly Luna) is a rooster and I want to re home him before I move him from the brooder so there are less stressful transitions for him...

I don't have these, but just wanted to suggest editing those title to include the actual brand name of "Little Giant" feeder and water. I will do that, thank you!

“Little Giant” brand at Target- reviews?

I saw this water and feeder system from Target online (I had no idea they carried this sort of thing) and I was wondering if anyone had any experience or reviews to share of these? I’m just looking for feedback on these specific ones.

    Golden laced Wyandotte ... rooster?

Bigger than the others, redder comb, bigger feet, dominant of the group. Almost 4 weeks. In the picture with two chickens she (he?) is on the left.
