Sorry I just now saw your message, unfortunately she passed away not to long after I posted it here, I don’t know about bloated but you could feel the the bones and I noticed she had stopped eating and drinking, as for age she wasn’t even a year old :(
I have a hen who recently I noticed had a pretty bad wound on her rear end so I sprayed some vetericyn and separated her to prevent hens from pecking her, however when I went to check on her today she doesn’t move much, keeps her eyes closed for the most part, and had ants on her, I got most...
An update on it we put it with the others and they didn’t really pay no attention to it but this morning it’s like he has zero energy I don’t think he’s been eating or drinking so we’re giving him electrolytes water with a syringe
somethings wrong with one of my chicks, it was the last one to hatch about 2-4 days after everyone else,
It’s quite clumsy and has something wrong with its head, it keeps trying stand up y’all but then falls, but I’m more concerned about it’s head, it also keeps falling over onto its back and...
Another update: his eye is closed again and he barely opens it, it almost looks swollen I’m going to try a warm damp paper towel on it to see if that helps
we had 9 eggs hatching, everything went ok but one chick seems a little smaller than the others and one of his eyes are closed is he/she ok ( sorry about the blurry photos he/she wouldn’t sit still)
:love They’re precious
We got ours in incubator and got humidity stable at 72% I have the temperature at 99.0° F should I increase it, we also have several eggs moving and one has piped but hasn’t done much then that and it piped a while ago I believe, I also hear a bunch of peeps:D Thank y’all...
Quick update I move the hen and egg and chick to safer spot and she now refuses to sit on them I brought the chick inside with a heat lamp but the other eggs are still out I got humidity down to 81% by removing so much water
If I use a syringe or something to remove some water would that fix it, the eggs have started hatching and I’m afraid if I don’t move them something will happen to them, I’ve got killer chickens that have killed one of my baby chicks before and the egg box is kinda high off the ground and I have...
