Help Please - Shrink wrapped Chick

Give it some sugar water and offer food with crumbled hard boiled egg yolk. I would keep an eye on the little one and put her in a separate brooding box. If she's still alive and alert is a few days I would put her back with the other chicks.

    Tips for hatching

Eggs can take 12-32 hours to externally pip after the internal one. If you hear peeping then it has internally pipped. From pip to zip it can take a few hours to 12 hours or sometimes more. I'm hatching duck eggs and they are under one of our mamas (Swedish ducks are the best mamas). But there's...

    Invisible fence for goats. Working!

I didn't even know you could use this. This will help so much. I wouldn't have to fence in as much of my property, goats are such trouble makers.

    Eggtopsy...with pictures, what day?

She said she was thinking it was 18 days old. Not hatching just yet, and before it gets positioned for hatching it has to break the airsac which it didn't do.

    Eggtopsy...with pictures, what day?

Day 17 or 18, possibly 19. If you look you can see a lot of the internal stuff is still outside its body but it also filled a decent amount of the egg. It was also starting to tuck it's head. Be very careful with the humidity it's super important.

DAY 14, and i cant see anything.... is this normal??

If they are brown I wouldnt worry. You can get a flashlight with more lumens. Auto part stores sell great ones that work wonderfully.

    Mothers day hatch

The dogs aren't aggressive towards the animals, but my pitbull likes small animals that squeak (kittens, chicks, ducklings, mice, and birds). We can't really break her from this as we have tried everything. The ducklings are the only ones that could go through because the chicks and turkeys are...

    Mothers day hatch

I hope they don't fully hatch till at least 1 pm. We still haven't gotten the chicken wire to put along the chain link fence. My backyard fence is right beside the pasture where all my farm animals live and that fence is chain link. The mama duck decided to build her nest right against the...
