Fennel. :plbb I like to cook the bulbs in the manner of onions, and I also use the stalks & fronds. It’s such a hardy plant, and I love making use of it!!
She was among the 4 guinea keets that I purchased in May 2021 so was about 4.5 years old. I think she had struggled with salpingitis earlier this year, but because my workplace is so far from the farm housing my flock I am not able to care for them as I’d like to.
Learned that my hen Melba passed away overnight… :( She’s the likeliest hen to have mothered the keet photographed in my avatar/pfp (and most of the 2023 hatchlings).

Got out of bed too late to ride my bike to work  but it’s probably better that way—
I was discovered by an adolescent cat whilst attempting to rehome a tiny garter snake that had invited itself into the pharmacy where I work.
After finishing my shift, I misplaced my iPhone and shopped at...
It’s not Monday, but I was chosen this afternoon by….
There’s a feral black cat who hangs around the apartment complex, and I saw him slink past the patio right after taking this photo.
Kitty’s eyes are a deep golden hue, and I’m toying with the name “Ember” in acknowledgement of the recent...
:goodpost: That’s what I like to see!
(Edit: forgot the quote I copied. “They habitually eat more or less anything, but need the training to eat the plastic products.”)
