    Day 27 one more hatched today. Sadly I think that is the last of them. 7 chicks total though. I guess never give up hope and never throw those eggs till you know nothing is growing inside. Longest hatch ever.

    I know I was getting ready to throw them out and re-candled and had a couple more internal pips so I just left them in. It is the hatch that never ends. LOL I am just glad they are coming, IDC when they get here :)

    Update --- 5 Happy and Healthy chicks on Day 24. I also see 2 more eggs rocking and rolling so. Maybe we might get one or two more. WHO KNOWS!!!!

    GOOD NEWS 2 have piped externally and the one I helped is looking great all but a tiny little hole remains from earlier. I am AMAZED how fast it closed up!

    2014 Hatchery Chick Orders

    We really like our Black Sex-Link hen, she is docile and lays an egg 6 days a week. She is young but has never gone broody on us. Started laying right at 20 weeks old and has been great through the winter.
