    Someone told me unless I breed to another barred chicken that all I would get is Roos. She (my cream legbar) was bred to my black Silkie Roo. I think I will keep one of the Roos and when he’s old enough breed him to one of my Splash Silkie girls.

    Both have pink combs but the Roo at only 8 weeks old has a dark red Comb. This is the Roo.

    I’m not sure about my 2 backyard mixes. Silkie/Cream Legbar. I have a 3rd that’s crowing with a Cream Legbar red comb at 8 weeks old. The other two have the Silkie Combs.

    Oh, my girls hatched one too! I think it’s from my White Silkie because it’s black. My Roo is Black. All my other girls are Splash and would only produce Blue chicks.
