Guessing game: What is it? (chicken related)

I guess everybody gives up. It is a caponizing kit. It was used to castrate roosters to make them suitable meat birds, back before the Cornish crosses came about.

Meyer Hatchery "All Pullet Rainbow Pack"

I order 25 at a time, pick through for the ones I want and sell the rest:) Depending on how many I keep, sometimes the few I keep end up being free in the end. I have always been very happy with Meyer and have purchased many orders through them.

Meyer Hatchery "All Pullet Rainbow Pack"

I have ordered their rainbow pack before. Last time I got about 8 Easter Eggers, two crested Polish, several Silver Lakenvelders, some German Spitzhauben and the remainder were light brown leghorns. One ended up being a roo. I was very happy with the assortment.

Homeschooled? how come there are so many on here?

Quote: Productive people stand a job for 50 or 51 weeks a year... No reason not to get them used to the idea that life comes with responsibility. Who would teach these classes? If school teachers this means, they would be with the students from 8am -8pm? When do parents get to educate? Other...

Homeschooled? how come there are so many on here?

Quote: When it comes to education it is never too exspensive... Current cost of public education per person from kindergarten through 4 years of college is almost 10 K a year. That is for 16 years of schooling. So if you knock off the last 4 years at 20 K per year and public schools only cost...

Homeschooled? how come there are so many on here?

Quote: Would you change the truancy guidelines that most schools now have? I'm not going to go to some parenting class or participate in mandatory community service just because my child was sick for over 3 days but not sick enough to warrant a doctor's visit. That's what the two weeks a year...

Homeschooled? how come there are so many on here?

Quote: I would start by extending the school year from January through November. Teachers would make more because they actually work a full year. I would give two weeks off a year to use whenever the parents wanted for vacation or whatever. I would start public education at about the age...

Both sexes get bumps on the legs...they can only be vent checked at a day or two old....at this point you will have to wait until you can tell by the way they look or for some of them to start laying/crowing.

rescues - now what do I have?

I agree that they are sex links..if the red ones start laying within 17 weeks you will know for sure. But yes if they are the same age and the whites were broilers they would be a lot bigger by now... The other option is that they are plain old feed store laying birds in which case I would say...

Homeschooled? how come there are so many on here?

Quote: Thats the key! If my son wanted to be a pro golfer I would support him until his senior year in highschool...then we would have a father son talk for a reality check......

Ducks or No Ducks in the Swimming Pool

I would swim in a pool that ducks swim in, no problem.... The filter medium will take care of the organic matter and the chlorine will take care of the bacteria...the chlorine will take care of the ducks too though... The pool company is not really worried about contaminating their...

Ducks or No Ducks in the Swimming Pool

If you chlorinate the pool I would move the ducks out asap... If it is a mineral pool and you don't chlorinate it then by all means leave them were they are and skim the pool yourself.... You could also find a new pool company...florida is full of them and I am sure you could find one who didn't...

Homeschooled? how come there are so many on here?

Quote: I am shocked every day by the kids that walk by the house, but I believe that children are a product of their raising for the most part...... I see a day in a generation or so when the government is forced to take a stronger stance on how people raise their kids, because if what they...

Homeschooled? how come there are so many on here?

Quote: I was too and agree 100%... Now to answer the question of the tread. I think that homeschoolers tend to live more in a virtual world than the real world so the internet is a very likely place to find large concentrations of them...
