I think they are supposed to scan items OUT as well as in. Which means that the driver picking items up scans them accepted, when they are put on the truck. If they can't provide an out-bound scan... then the Distrubution Center screwed up. Unless they've changed that policy.
All those metal figurines just remind me of when my lab encountered a duck for the first time....
It was a metal duck, like those chickens. And he ran into the beak nose-first, running around a corner. Let out a YIIIIIIPPEE!!!! and has been afraid of ducks every since. Mean thing pecked him...
I was off having lunch. Made myself try fresh eggs for the first time, from my EE that's laying. Have to say, they are a bit better than store eggs, but I still don't like eggs.
However, I was astonished at how thick and strong her shells are.
High fructose corn syrup is disgusting in all its forms. It always leaves a sour taste in the back of my mouth, like I drank something rancid. I don't like soda, but if I end up drinking it, I'll only drink cane sugar soda. Cane sugar is bad for you... but not as bad as high fructose corn syrup.
Better safe than sorry, when you're just putting a safety hole in. I certainly would not peel any shell back yet, if it were my choice! Just make sure they can breathe.
I use the tip of a sterilized pocket knife, and just lightly tap at one spot until enough shell chips away to pin-hole the membrane. About 1/16th of an inch hole.
This is day 20, right? It may just be too soon for them. Have all the others pipped, and have any hatched?
EE's can pretty much be any color. A lot are red with black in their hackles - I've got a Cochin/EE cross chick that looks like that, right now. My other EE's are sort of a lavender or blue dirty Colombian, a blue with orange leakage, and a pale lavender splash - so far I only know what color...
