I both hatched my own barnyard mix eggs (plus Lavender Ameracuana, mixed Bantam, and Icelandic eggs I bought) and bought Leghorn, Black Star, and EE chicks @ TSC/ Blue Seal.
They've all gotten housed together in the upstairs of my chicken tractor. I thought this chick was one of the Leghorns...
No more hatched so cleaned out the incubators and had a funeral by fire for the chicks that didn't hatch or passed.
My final count for those that got out of the eggs was 32. @OneMountainAcres (that's who we ping right?) or is it @casportpony ? (Sorry I've lost my mind I think.)

I'm still waiting. Went to clean out the incubators yesterday morning and had a surprise. Another chick!
So candled remaining unhatched eggs. Some clear quitters, others had clearly gotten pretty far along. Did eggtopsies. Several pretty well developed but had quit, not sure why. Then did...
So the first chick I helped seems to be doing well and has been transferred to the brooder.
This morning was hoping to find the ones that had been pipped most of the day yesterday out. They weren't. Had a couple others that must have pipped and zipped in the night. Dry and feisty, so they...
The one I helped made it out. Sadly lost a second one, started to zip, then stopped. Another pip near the center of the egg. Looked fine when I opened up.... maybe suffocated. 🤷♀️☹
Pic is the guy that made it out. Extra gooey, but otherwise looks ok.
Had my first casualty. ☹ Especially small bantam egg, pipped near the middle of the egg, then did nothing for most of day. Came back from grandma sitting and his egg was rolled over by a hatched chick. Pulled out of incubator and beak no longer moving. Carefully removed shell/membrane. Chick...
Went ahead and removed 9 dried fluff balls to the brooder set up. Was going to put them outside in the enclosed portion of my chicken tractor, but night temps have been below freezing, worried that even with the brooder plate we could end up with chick-sicles. So, brought a livestock water tank...
Here is Jeg and Buff Mama, fairly sure they're both broody. Tried to move Jeg with no luck, she just paced around and yelled at me, so let her back in the box she'd been in and she's back to a happy pancake. We're off to buy supplies to close if the boxes and build some new ones for the rest...
