Good luck being diplomatic. Been there, done that. I was wanting to keep the relationship friendly and I also had my run too far from the house to get a good shot in. I don't free range, but the dogs continued to come over here and yank out the sides of the runs and proceed to kill everything...
I subbed for over 3 years (at the elementary level) before getting offered a regular teachers aide position with the school. Yep it seems that teachers like to be able to have a "go to" sub. I have found that they are like parents when it comes to the success of their classes. I made sure I...
Good luck! My dd shows, we keep her to 1 time a month to save $. I always tell her that it's most important to have fun, any ribbons are a bonus (but as a mom I have to say I get WAY excited about the ribbons)
No doubt a roo. I've had brahmas (first lights and now buffs) for years. In the at least dozen roosters I've had I did manage to get one that was a tad bit aggressive. For the most part I've found them to be good to the girls and would trip over themselves to get out of my way. It's actually...
Hummmmmmm, pretty much my luck. I guess I should be glad for all girls, it is much easier to find a male than it would be to find females.
Of course my pen was only designed for a pair, so now I'm gonna need to rehome or rebuild. Poor hubby because I'm sure it will be rebuild.
Ok after many many attempts to get pics I think I have some pics that show them well enough to help me confirm boys/girls
I'm thinking I have 2 boys and 2 girls.....whatcha think, am I right?
I learned that getting pics of turks might just be harder than getting pics of bouncing fleas...
I have 3 gelding horses, 1 shetland mare and 1 mini/shetland gelding all in the same field. It works for us. When I put the shetland mare in with the big boys I locked them up overnight and let her in free so she could visit with each one. I turned them out the next time and they were like no...
It really is a great place. Lots of knowledges people and very well maintained. We are usually only there during Fun and Frolic shows in the fall/winter, but I'm sure things are no different during the rest of the year.
The National Equestrian Center in Lake St Louis is a very nice set up. We show there during the winter months. I'm not sure what they have to offer as far as horse motel, but during our shows the stall fee is $25/night plus shavings. Here is a link to their web page...
This was our first year with meaties. We had no problem getting them butchered. Of course I paid someone to have it done (will continue to do so if we do this again 22 birds in about 30 minutes and I was on my way home). By the time they were about three weeks old I was counting the minutes...
Personally I would start with a small treat nightly now. They seem to quickly learn to expect it. I just always use caution in the amount I give and have to remind myself over and over its a treat not a meal .
Mine have their own house and I had to condition them to go in with treats. I affectionately called mine feathered pigs. They so see me as a giant food/snack I'm sure. I used a small handful of corn or 1 piece of bread torn up. Before I let them out in the morning I would give it too them...
Hope they hatch for you. Would be neat to see that. I'm always saddened when I see a smashed turtle on the road, it's not like it jumped out in front of a moving vehicle. If we see one in the road and it's safe we usually move it to safety in the direction it was heading.
Hummmmm, just found a duck nest with many infertile eggs. Might just have to challenge the kids with them in the orchard. Nice not to just have to throw them away.
Still no like button when I use the link you posted, but when I scrolled the other pics they had the buttons. So I went back to the main page and went to photos when I found your photo and clicked on it wellllaah they was the comment and like button. Just a thought for anyone else having...
There is no like button on the pic. I will have to keep checking, seems a glitch in it. I love the pic tho, like the horse is almost envious of of that tail. I can almost hear the horse saying "what a fly swatter!" LOL!
