Yes they are stamped vf. I've built so many trucks and used exactly those. Pretty cool to know the person who made em. And I'm sure to see them in use.
I've been away for a bit, glad to see everyone is doing things. Honestly.
My most recent project didn't evolve building much, but ...
my baby on the horse she's working, basically riding for a guy. you want it? You do it. Working up a riding area at the property. time in the saddle, taken to rhetoric extreme. Lol.
Wow is it nice to see progress on something of your own. Unfortunately I've been working 12s and haven't made much more. Did burn some more stumps. Fires running strong lol.
Yeah it's a big stump. Really big lol. But we'll burn it and make it go away. :)
I'd love to see a thread about...
Here's my philosophy on fences for horses. Too much is not enough and enough costs too much.
I'd run at least 2 strings! Even hot. 3 if not hot. I hate chasing horses down when they get out at 3 am. :\
Nothing below say 18" and 48"high at the top run.
I always said you're dealing...
ended up rolling and cutting the stump and finally splitting it with the excavator bucket. Whole tree was processed, logged, brush burned, stump made it to the drying pile.
The we processed 5 40'+ cherries.
All in a day. Not too shabby for 3 guys.
here's my buddy "the ground surgeon" he's got about 10000hours in excavators. He should be the guy for the job!
oh, well, "drama" showed up! At least he can tell him how to do it.
come into view merely for the entertainment value.
and 30 second later, she's down! If a big tree...
I kinda feel bad about the lack of chick's and posting here. We're still on track for setting up a run and coop, but had to clear some things first.
89' tall and 75' across at the canopy. Best we could measure.
Still had almost 2" of ice between the trunks.
we've very made some headway. Apx 1/2 acre credit of stumps. Only 2 acres to go.
Yeah it gets bigger as we go lol.
But this tree is currently holding up things. It's kinda big.
Best guess is 6' across at the stump and 125' high.
Still some frost in the ground here too. Apx 2-3' in some places, others none.
Going to get some big trees pushed over tomorrow hopefully. Have the excavator loaded on the trailer, as well as a skidsteer with a grapple bucket.
I'm done with timber buyers around here too. If they want board...
The split rail will be on the pasture side of the road. But will be a facade for the high tinsle electric fence.
It's definitely work, but worth it.
We are planning on only building our dream home once. So if we want it we have to build it now.
Something I'd like to say about this...
Yeah its definitely time consuming. But we are making headway. So it's worth it. Honestly I enjoy the work, because it's one of the few things that I'm actually doing for myself.
I do this same work all day for other people to build their dreams. Kinda nice to do it for my family. Sense of...
