Thanks :) we were just wondering and we are going to keep it inside it probly gets too cold to be outside here. Hopefully it does good. We just got it but its already been alive for about 15 years or more but right now it has really old dirt and a very tiny pot. We are going to repot it so I...
Well I'm not really sure if its a he but I'm just calling him that. I think he's still too young to tell. And I'll put a pic in a few mins and also he supposed to be 5 inches so I can't even get a permit until he's that big.
Just in case anyone was wondering, he's doing good now. He's eating a lot and growing. He likes to swim around everwhere and is very happy. Thanks for all the help everyone. :)
Well I didn't bring him to school yet but he's doing good. I haven't seen him eat but he is because he is getting bigger and stronger and looks healthier and I've seen him chase bugs around he just doesn't like to eat them while I'm staring at him. And thanks Chierdoodle13 but I have a place to...
Awww :( I hope he evacuated and I hope he had somewhere to go. Hopefully he had family nearby and didn't have to go to a shelter. They were so crowded and probably wouldn't be the best place for really old people.
Ohhhh I didn't know there were 2 people living there! I thought it was just the one guy. Awww then I feel bad for the old guy, he's had the land for so long and now it could all be washed away :(
Yea I guess they probably would. But I feel bad for that guy that lived there too. Didn't he have another house in Florida or something though? So I guess he's probably ok.
Ok and I feel bad for the freshman next year. If sedge is underwater then they might not be able to go and that was fun so theyd miss out on that. Everything there could've got flooded or washed away and they might need to rebuild a lot of it. I wonder if they'd be done in time for the freshman...
Oh. I assumed you weren't a freshman because you seemed to know more than me. And yea I hope Sedge is ok, it seemed like the whole island could've washed away.
Oh we'll I didn't learn about that yet. I'm a freshman and I'm in the care part of project terrapin but we haven't had that many meetings yet and I remember them saying that they released some of the babies but didn't they say that they gave some of them to other places that kept turtles too...
Ok but I'm still not really sure how to get the permit and if he's too small would they even let me keep him? The school has ones just as small as him and they are aloud to have them though so I don't know.
Ok we'll it's been like 9 days. I think i remember them saying at school something about the yolk being able to feed them for a while after they hatch and he still had the yolk thing on his stomach when we found him but now that's starting to go away. In the picture that I posted before I think...
