I found one of y week old pigeons totally scalped tody from her eyes to the backof her head. The skull is exposed but intact, I brought her in. She is hand feeding well andbegs for food. I am keeping her warm and neoporin on the the open wound and surrounding skin. I had one before that had...
I am handfeeding right now a 2 week old little piglet of a pigeon. I have hand feed everything form new hatch to flegling. They live in my bathroom in a box with a electric heater. I handfeed a mix of baby rice ceral and mixed grain, grain is ground at first and added to ceral then at about 2...
This is my 8 week old BC, she started with alot of body color that has started to fade on everything but her neck, which is turning a nice copper color. I have high hopes for her in the show ring if she continues to turn out.
I will stop turning eggs tomorow. I candled last night looks like 6 out of the eight have devloped right on time, great average for shipped eggs. Due to hatch the 24th, I let you know how it goes. Keep your fingers crossed for pullets:D
I have two extra 8 week old roos for sale. Black Copper marans direct from Buddy Henry. Very large birds for their age. I have already chosen the two that I will be keeping for breeding and hopefully showing. Pick up only 25.00 each. Nice healthy birds.
I hope they don't get that big, LOL. They are growing and feathering out quickly though. I just wish the small pullet was of proper color, she will have to go into my laying flock. She came out of a total BC flock so I guess she is missing a gene. They do have wheatens but the breeding birds are...
The pics are of two of my babies, T Rex is the little roo although he is huge and already trying to crow, then my little pullet she has abit more color than I would of liked but maybe some will molt out. I am hopeing T rex turns out nice enough to show.
Soun more like a rough croak but so cute, he is already getting a little aggressive though. I hope he settles down, he is my most promising roo for breeding so far. The other three are still smaller with a few white feathers in the wing, could they molt out to black as an adult?
