Congrats on your first eggs!
You are going to want to remove any eggs. Check once or twice a day to remove them, more if they start eating the eggs.
A fair warning: chickens do eat eggs. Not all do, but try to avoid letting them have the opportunity.
Try to avoid cleaning if possible. There's a...
Well, I'm sorry that I gave wrong information, it just seemed like that to me with the information you gave.
I'm glad you found what you were looking for and it helped your flock!
It just looks like rooster treading and maybe some fighting.
Nothing to be too concerned about, its just their feathers being pulled or plucked.
If it gets to bad just get a hen apron, you can look online for buying or making some.
There are a lot of ways to tell what gender a bird is. If you can, take pictures (lots, it will make it easier to tell) and post them under a what breed or gender thread.
If you think that you can offer the care needed then go for it! Good luck to the both of you.
It looks like he has splayed legs. Have you tried putting a rubber band around it? Do you think he could walk?
I take her out of her crate every two hours to pee, including at night.
Nice.
Alright! I already got advice kind of similar, where I should take her out immediately after peeing so she associates peeing with outside.
The crate is tall enough for when she grows up (she's a German Shepard). It's deep enough for her just to turn around, and is a little wide, but not too bad.
She's only gone in there when she can't hold it at night. But we take her out every two hours.
I got her from a good breeder.
That's a...
So... I posted on this a while ago. My puppy wasn't peeing on her potty mat, and I was advised to take he out.
I've been taking her out a lot, sometimes to play, but sometimes on a leash to just potty.
She wont do it outside, so I bring her in and she almost immediately goes right in the middle...
At least 6 in the run.
Sorry, I misspoke for the coop, they do need more space than what I said, but that is big enough for the 10 - 15 chickens you were saying.
For the run they need 6 square feet per bantam. So almost 10.
The coop is large enough for 10 - 15 chickens, it will be amazing for bantams!
The run is a bit small, they need at least 1.5 square feet per bantam, but if you make it larger like you were saying it will also be good.
For my ladies I have a 5 gallon bucket with chicken watering nipples on the...
Alright. We started leash training last night, so the second she's comfortable with the leash we can start bringing her out. In the meantime should we just cover her entire area with pee mats? She's going to be an outdoor dog, but because she's so young we keep her in the garage. We have her...
She's still a puppy, just over two months, so she's not too big yet.
We can take her outside, it's hard because of both how we have her kennel area set up and because she's a very energetic dog to be chasing through snow at 1 in the morning.
