    When my ducks started laying i was quite excited as well! i also made a nesting box that they didn't touch, but one of my friends told me to lock them in the box every night for about 4 days to teach them to go back to the box and lay or sleep. so i did this experiment and had great results...

    I think that would be just fine, I keep harlequins and anconastogether with some buff orpington chickens and my tiny flock gets along great.

    yes she might have a hidden nest if she free ranges, or she could have stopped laying if a predator threatened them in the night and it scared her. if that is the case your yummy duck eggs wont show fora couple days hope this helps!

    If i was allowed to own a huge flock ancona ducks would be my choice they are so friendly, but they get a bit shy if they are with a big flock of waterfowl. i enjoy them so much!
