My toms have already got their feathers back, my two oldestest hens have jus started hope they dont get too cold. They wont roost in the coops so I don't really have a way to get a heat light on them.
Thanks for the complement, I didnt know he was gonna have two beards till a few months ago. I've seen wild birds harvested with mulitple beards just havent seen it in hertiage breeds.
I love Royal Palms, one of my toms was suppose to be a palm but never developed any black coloring. Contacted hatchery they said they musta mixed it with a white holland. He's solid white and blue eyes, and the cool part he has double beards.
Trap the coons and everybody will be happier, took me 4-6 weeks to cure my probelm with coons. Only lost one poult this year and it was to a 6' chicken snake that no longer lives there either.
He looks like a young male, he'll relocate his self before long I'm sure. Most wild turkeys cover alot of ground seasonally, I have them come in and raise their broods in my yard with my birds then leave and visit through out the year.
I have two hens together one of em clutch has hatched already the other is still sitting, the poults get on top of the one sitting and stay around her as much as the mom. I had to seperate from the daddy even though he's gentle as can be he was trying to do his love dance when the poults were...
