    ya, we just have ours for fun. The black and white cockerel might actually do something in a show but I doubt we ever find out, lol....four of our birds came from a lady that said we would get all silkied chicks from hers, sure hoping to get some chicks hatched...

    We just picked up a pair of silkied seramas, one from Junebug_OK, who I want to thank again, that little cockerel just made my wifes week. I picked up a white silkied hen from a very nice lady down off I-40.... My little cockerel, Cogburn. He is getting more gold in his hackles and saddles...

    we will see...yall say the wattles are an indication but it has no wattles to speak of and a flat comb. at 5 + months old, it would have much more comb/wattles than this one has. I think its a pullet but if its a roo it wont stay.

    I have had a silkie cockerel that was around the same age as this one, and it already had a full comb, etc....this one has an almost entirely smooth comb and the wattles hang down like 1/8 of an inch....

    Silkies have the five toes and the foot feathering, I just didnt know if you would get a chicken like this from a NN x Silkie (smooth feathering)

    The guy sold it to my wife as a smooth feathered showgirl. I guess thats just the first generation? We have a pair of partridge showgirls...so Silkie x Turken?
