I spent about an hour and a half wandering around after going through some heavy cover that included burrs & poison ivy. Only thing I found was the chicken's party area. Some clearing with grass in a dry creek bed. I could tell they have been dust bathing there. I watched them for a while...
So now the other 3 who were laying have either stopped or they've found somewhere else to lay them. It's weird, the 2 newest layers were laying pullet size eggs. Then they were laying large eggs and now nothing. Unless they have a secret spot. They all disappear throughout the day.
Have a Partridge Cochin who was laying. First eggs were small then they became regular large size for a couple of weeks. Then there were a couple of jelly eggs. Then nothing. She is the roosters favorite and they're pretty much inseparable. She is probably over-mated. We were down to 1...
Catchmaster traps work great. Put in a blob of peanut butter and it will load up. https://www.catchmaster.com/products/pro-series-multi-catch-mouse-trap
All I had to do was to tap each one so it left a drop of water on it. The birds did the rest.
Glad you got it figured out. The nipples are so much easier and cleaner than the other options.
Definitely a scam. Price is way too low.
Those Lifetime plastic sheds are not easy to assemble either. Better have a nice level platform for it. If you're in an area with heavy snow, plan on sweeping it off after each storm.
Purina flock raiser & offering calcium on the side has been my go. It's readily available at tractor supply. Side calcium is mostly quail egg shells dried & crushed.
I went through that when I had a aviary. To clean their feet/toes, I had a large plastic box and put a half inch of gravel in it. Then added about a inch of water. Put in some birds and put a hardware cloth lid on top. Let the quail stand in it like a foot spa for a while. Hour, sometimes a...

I use the GQF cages. They're a similar concept. They claim 4 quail per section. My max is 3 hens.
There are 3 sections per tier/cage. I removed some center section dividers to make some compartments bigger, so I can have 4 or 5 hens with a roo.
I used to have an aviary and really liked...
My previous setup had sand. Had problems with poop balls on the bird's feet. So I started topping it off with straw. The straw did help reduce the problem, but my birds were still needing the foot spa to clean their feet way too often. I moved & my new setup is on wire. Much much easier to...
