I have 2 Golden Buffs, 2 Barred Rocks, 2RIRs and 3 White Leghorns. 1 Buff started laying in the 19th week a RIR started laying in the 20th week and a Legghorn started laying in the 17th week. So cool.
It is called Wry neck. Look it up. I had a chick this year with it. I gave it water with the powder you give to chicks. Held it and dipped its beak into the water several times a day. Tried to give it vitamin E but chick would have nothing to do with it. After about a week it recovered. Good Luck.
I have a 2x4 laying flat for a roost. Every night I move them from piece of T111 which is about a half inch thick to the 2x4. Cant believe they wrap their big feet on such a tiny piece of wood. Cant be comfortable. Should I cut the 2x4 in half? Any opinions? Roost is even higher than the T111...
