I went once decades ago to the races at Golden Sands, and couldn't get out of there fast enough. A car show is at least more quiet. Not sure how long I could look at cars either. I'd like to see a 70's Station wagon again. Are those old enough to be at a car show?
The second option is a better size. The first one isn't good for any chickens in my opinion. Too small. Build as big as you can afford. You will have less troubles in the long run.
I used to grow garlic, but stopped because my stomach can no longer tolerate it. Garlic was like dill and got away from me, and it comes up everywhere now. I used to get so much I would pickle a bunch. That was labor intensive peeling all the cloves.
Barb I'm glad the power work went quickly.
Since my vet tech told me about the dachsund she recently took in because it was an abandoned stray I want one too. We had one years ago and she was a nice dog.
Mine was 7. Hadn't been in a crate since 1 year of age, and she did okay. Can she just be confined to a smaller room perhaps if a crate is too stressful?
My oldest dog had a knee repair a few years back. The time passed pretty quickly. I put a wire crate out on the porch, so she could see us when we were outside, and I walked her on a leash. She doesn't handle pain well so she was pretty cooperative. Hopefully your dog heals quickly and takes it...
Used to be our average frost date too. Not anymore unfortunately. The last few years have been too warm, and even winter isn't what it used to be. I miss fall.
This is one of my most favorite contest. Combining the best time of the years with everyone's pets and critters. Can't wait to see everyone's entries. :)
I looked back in my garden journal and in the last 5 years the years I wrote the first frost down for were all about the middle of October. New moon is on the 21st so that's my guess of when it will occur. Place your bets now. :)
