I could tell many stories but none could compare to most of these. One of mine has eaten deer poop, another ate rabbit poop. I've found assorted bugs and critters in pockets, in drawers, and under beds. When one was 2, she picked up a toilet brush and brushed her teeth with it. DH saw her...
This snow storm brought over 12" to us and we were left without power from the 18th until the 26th, some still don't have power. We had no water, the national guard had to ship some in to us and we had to drive to KY and way out in TN to get gas and propane so we could stay warm and eat. All...
my lone welsummer that I hatched last year passed last week . I now need a guy for my ladies. I'd like to find about 2-3 more hens as well if anyone has any. Willing to travel some in VA, KY, TN, or WV.
I'm working on a babysitter for that morning. If I can get one, I'll be bringing 5 barred cochin bantams, a splash silkie roo, and 3 white silkies. I have 4 turkeys that are up as well, but won't have room to bring them unless someone is 100% sure they want them (I'll have to have dh bring...
3 are bronze (1 is a gobbler) and the other is a black spanish. they are all around a year and a half. the gobbler isn't fertile though. I don't want to blind side you and sell you something when you think it is something else. I am still waiting to see if someone here still wants...
Anyone have any welsummers or puffy silkies they will be bringing?
I have some things I might bring, but I'm waiting to hear back from a few people about them.
turkeys
white silkies
black/blue orps (all are black though)
maybe barred cochins (haven't decided on these)
I won't know for a...

I think everyone's are but mine. No surprise here though. Rarely do any of my hens lay and I have no idea why......they all have access to laying pellets, water, they have runs to eat grass (can't free range, too many hawks and dogs), they get sun..... ??

If I were you I'd be looking very hard for a secret stash under a bush or something...
I've searched their coop and their run anxiously for the past 6 months now..... I only chose them because they were supposed to be decent layers and friendly. They are friendly.....overly friendly...
I was thinking maybe EE but their cheeks aren't real fluffy, not like I would have thought. I've never had an EE chick so I don't really know.....they aren't any fluffier than the RIR chicks cheeks.
yeah, they're cute, just don't know what I'm going to do with all these males. I'm overrun...
Got these this morning from Ideal as packing peanuts. What are they?
**the chipmunky looking ones are the ones I don't know what are. All others are accounted for. They are not bantams and do not have feathered feet.**
I will try to be there, I'll let you know for sure a little closer to the time. Put it in the bargain finder bfads.com. It's free and circulates through Richlands, Bluefield, and I've even gotten calls from KY from there. americanclassifieds.com is another you might think about.
No problem here with ordering more than 4 breeds online. I agree with everyone though, if I were having problems I'd call. They are excellent to work with and are the only hatchery I've ever ordered with. They have excellent customer service and try to help with anything that might come up...
I have 8 of these for sale. I don't have the room for them, their run is always muddy and I don't have time to construct another one right now. I know one is a roo, not sure about the others. I can post pics later if anyone is interested.
I'll have some silkies and orps for sale a little...
Currently going to Old Dominion University & Mountain Empire Community College.
I wanted to go to Virginia Tech, Liberty, anywhere but here when I was in high school.
If you still have him in a few weeks (when I'll be that way), I will take him. I need a new bloodline in mine .
I'll get back with you when it's closer to time for us to travel that way .
