That she doesn’t know what’s wrong with Nike. :(
Bloodwork was also normal, so not a vitamin deficiency. Starting yesterday, I’ve been giving her yard time with the other chickens and it’s clearly making her MUCH happier and livelier, so I’m just bringing her inside for medicine and night time...
Hi there, just a quick update - the night poops looked fine but she hasn't pooped all morning. Her crop also appears to be empty. She is more lethargic than ever. :(
We have a vet appointment at 11:30.
Nike, 17 week old Blue Australorp, is normally one of my most active and curious pullets. For the past two days, she’s acted super sleepy, and doesn’t keep up with her flock of pullets like normal. This morning I found her in the bamboo clucking to herself. Tonight, she put herself to bed early...
(X-posted to texas thread)
Hi everyone! Much to my dismay, I have 3 cockerels I need to rehome. They are free to a good home. I live in Dallas, Texas and I’m willing to deliver up to 30 minutes away. Photos of all 3. I got them as chicks in May, so they’re 9-12 months old.

Huge thanks for your help - I need to start emotionally preparing myself!
Last one. Pinky swear. (Until next time. 🤞)
This is Goldie Hen. Shy and sweet, I think she’s the youngest of my crew. 8-9 weeks?
Goldie can often be found trailing behind the others, shyly waiting for treats, and snuggled up under Vera or Chipmunk.
Pullet or cockerel?
Helloooooo! Meet Chipmunk, my second most favorite. The bravest and smartest of my chickens, Chipmunk is the only chicken who’s shown any indication that she knows how to problem solve (moving an entire THREE INCHES to escape the sprinkler spray that so terrorizes her flock) and has daringly...
Hi! It’s me. Just two more, I promise.
This rotund ball of sass is Liz Lemon. She was also procured at the Ellis County Poultry Trade Days, but was always the largest and most aggressive chick. I’ll never forget the time she chased some smaller babies around the brooder, trying to pull their...
Hi again! Meet Vera Wing, mystery chicken. When I unpacked my chicks this past May after a trip to the Ellis County Poultry Trade Day, I had to count several times, trying to understand why my six chicks had turned into seven…I had a stowaway! Vera somehow snuck into my chick box and here we...
