    Update: Put the old waterer in the new brooder and naturally the chicks made a huge mess of it. I kept the horizontal nipple waterer attached and to my surprise I watched them using it instead of the other waterer. So I have removed the old one and will keep an eye on them.

    Thank you! I got her from a breeder here in South Carolina. They come in all kinds of colors and patterns. She is the most amazing cat I have ever had the privilege to share a home with. Her personality is unlike any other cat I have had.

    This is what my husband put on the waterer. Somehow he used the horizontal nipple and the cup. You can see it on the right side of the picture.

    Ok thank you very much. I will keep the other waterer in there for now. They just get it so dirty even when it is on a brick.

    Thank you. I appreciate you taking the time to advise me. They are pecking at the nipple waterer but I don't see the little cup fill with water and I am not sure if it should. The feeder I have seen them all stick their heads in there but they still peck the ground in front of it as well.

    It just occurred to me that hubby didn't use the hardware cloth on the bottom of the door. Will remedy that tomorrow. I definitely appreciate you catching that.

    Coop is covered in hardware cloth, most stuff I have seen says top of run can use chicken wire if the bottom has the hardware cloth.
