    Yes it was clipped. my four started pullets I rcd in April were also. I believe Meyer clips all their started beaks. Only the chicks don't get clipped. I haven't had any issues as far as eating or drinking with it.

    Yea, my started Leghorn I got from Meyers in September started laying 3 days ago. My original Leghorn still hasn't starred back up and my EE hasn't layed for over a month. My RIR is still laying along with my 3 RedSexLinks I got from someone local. We'll see how the rest of winter goes.

    I just notice my 2nd rooster Comb is dark purple and he's eating but seems to have trouble swallowing. A little slow also.no coughing, sneezing. I massaged his crop and it feels hard like cartilage but not full. Could something be in there? Not sure what to do.

    Computer being crazy. I want to put the leghorn in with my flock of 2 roosters and 8 hens. Do you think she will be fine with them. Her being the only one but older. The othrs are between 6-9 months. I was oing to wait a few more weeks to add the younger chicks.thx for any input.
