You can get those little jackets or apron at the feed store to protect your chicken or just let her out for awhile first definitely protect her though ❤🐔
Hi of course this isn't a emergency but I need some advice my polish hen has a extra toenail on both feet lol heres a pic didn't know if I should trim it I've never seen it before and googles no help on this subject
I just use layer crumble and for treats black oil sunflower seeds and yogurt with some fruit for my polish not my welsummers only because they dont like fruit or veggies i dont worry to much I love them but they are chickens welsummers are 3 yrs polish is 1 yr and my silverlaced are 4 months ❤🐔
Mine too my 3 silver laced are penned they are only 4 months I do have a white crested black polish and my loner will sneak up on her and attack i did a time out for 1hr that helps oh did you know if you let her out first and keep the others penned for just even 15 minutes then they will leave...
I have a loner for 3 yrs I feel bad for her but she's ornery too I just baby her I do put out 3 feeders and waters different spots hers where she usually goes in the morning and treats I spread them far apart to make sure she gets some too plus I'm the chicken police in my county (yard lol) so...
My welsummers won't eat any fruits or veggies I do free range and crumble and they love love black oil sunflower seeds throw some in the pen when your gone and they'll scratch around for awhile ❤🐔
Mine love sunflower seeds too so I use the layer crumble they wouldn't eat the pellets and then I buy a bag of black oil sunflower seeds and throw them some every day the protein good for them and then you have control

Of course who wouldn't I have 3 and I do have to keep a eye on them with my white crested black polish for some reason they do not like her probably because she's my fav
