    I raised guinea pigs as a child and my daughter now has one. We love them so much. Our animals, big and small, have a way of creeping into our hearts, and it hurts when we lose them. So sorry. (double hugs)

    Thanks for the offer and idea. We will have to see how it all works out. So far we are hanging in. A neighbor behind us already said we could haul water from them so that helps. We may need to find homes for the animals for winter to lessen the load.

    How fun! My babies aren't old enough yet. Wasn't planning on raising chicks this year, then had an opporunity to incubate 40 eggs, only three hatched, & one survived, so rushed out and bought a dozen or so to raise with this one. Can't wait til they lay! What fun!

    Thank you for caring. These girls (and boys) are favorites around here. We love our animals, quite a lot. I cried myself to sleep last night thinking that they were gone. I've cried over chickens dying...my family thinks I'm a little too sensitive :)
