Thank you. It is normally in shade I was moving it around that day due to laying down wood chips. I must have forgotten to put it back in the shade when I was done🤦. I also add ice packs to the water. To try and keep it cool longer. Because I'm unavailable to switch it out mid day due to work.
We have 7 chickens all together. I'm pretty sure all but the Dom are hens. Not the best pics that I could get some here are some. Coop is 4x4 run is 350 square feet in and L shape.
They are 14 weeks old I can upload pics tomorrow. This is a reoccurring issue reason why I posted. I know and completely understand that they are animals and this is common but seems like she is always being picked on. I appreciate everyone's response. Thank you all for your help
My Dominique rooster seems to pick on one of my hens. They were bumping chest to chest and then he pecked her in the face. She looks just like my other BO could she be a he? Or is this just bullying and she is the bottom of the pecking order?
Congrats on the new house. So far he isn't that loud he likes to crow 3x in a row in the morning but the earliest I e heard was after 7am so that's not bad at all. How many chickens do you have? I have 7 and already want more lol
I drilled two large whole in the top but since have started leaving the coop door open all night because there run is predator safe. Or so I hope they have been out for 6 weeks no issues as of yet.
Our Dominique was supposed to be a hen but we got ourselves a rooster. Almost 12 weeks and he made his voice heard today lol. Let's just hope we don't get any complaints bc if we do we won't be able to keep him.
I'm looking for organic mixed flock food but haven't been able to find any. The only one I have been able to find is either chick or layer. I don't want to get the layer one because we think there is a rooster in our flock.
I also have noticed that my chickens don't really scratching much in...
I'm not sure if my coop has enough ventilation. It only has one large window. I was thinking about putting a few more wholes but not sure if needed or were to put them.
