Bracket kit for 6x6 shed /duck house

If you're going to do this don't make the mistake I did and pick out the 2x4s by hand. I had 2x4s delivered and the knots and gouges were so large that if I cut the 2x4 in half the resulting 2x2 would probably have snapped in half.

Aspen shavings is giving me nasal congestion?

Try something else (sand?) to see if the congestion goes away. If it doesn't it's likely the bird dander.

    Worms after recent treatment!?

Don't chickens originate from warm and moist places? It just doesn't seem right to me to have to use these man-made drugs so frequently. There's got to be a way to prevent worm overload by improving management practices and breeding healthier birds. But how to do that, I don't know...Sorry...

    Let’s Talk Ducks

    Worms after recent treatment!?

Using the dewormers frequently as a preventative without testing to see if the chickens have a high worm load in the first place is one reason dewormers eventually become ineffective. It would be best if you can find a vet or lab that will do fecal testing for you to keep an eye on the worm...

Black/purple spot on hen comb and occasional open mouth breathing

I agree, she looks fine externally. Could be dried blood on her comb from a pecking injury which is not serious. It is also normal for some chickens to get a little bit of poop stuck to their bottom feathers. Doesn't look like anything to be concerned about.

    Are Chicken Tails Sensitive?

Like @redinator, I pet my chickens on their chest and throat area. Chickens don't really like their backs being touched.

    Boxer (the dogs) Thread!!

Boxers can be funny like that. My Boxer refused to drink any water that was not super fresh and clean. He would bark and whine if another dog drank the water.

Wow, he is definitely up there in age. Have you had tests done to check his kidney and liver function? Kidney and liver failure and other diseases can cause excessive drinking and urination.
