I had 3 flippers this year. I just went down and righted them every few hours. Took 4 days for the last one to stop doing it. I lost a bit of sleep, but they all made it. Now the last one is the biggest one. I only raise to eat though, so I am not worried about genetics.
Bourbon reds taste good. Broad Breasted Bronze have lots of meat, grow big quickly, and since you're doing them a favor by slaughtering them before the have health issues, no guilt in eating them.
I assume you were/are a Marine? If so, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY!!!!!!

I both was and am. To quote the new commandant;
"A Marine is a Marine. I set that policy two weeks ago - there's no such thing as a former Marine. You're a Marine, just in a different uniform...
Mine just hang out around my barn and only go inside when the weather gets bad. No coop or anything special other than keeping the horses away from their food.
A week apart should be fine. I've done it myself a couple of times, like when I replace ones that have died or just on a whim. I added Barred Rocks to my 1 week older Americunas and Marans, just because the wife wanted some, & now the smaller Rocks rule the roost!
mypetchicken.com will let you order as few as three as long as you are near a major city. If your in the sticks, the count goes up. My minimum is six. Great people to do business with and very healthy birds.
