    We buy the small seedless watermelons when they come on sale. I split it in two, half for my ducks and half for the chickens. They go crazy for it. I used to cut it all up and feed it but I ran out of time once and just set the two halves in their runs. They didn't seem to have any problems...

    Thanks for the helpful suggestions. I think I will wait for spring and separate the coop. Then I don't have to worry about the cold. I can let them see each other for awhile. I'm chicken they will fight and someone will get hurt. Lol

    Ok. I'll pick some up and give everyone some spring tonic. Our winter has been brutal but so far everyone seems fine. I'm sure they can't wait for the grass though. Been feeding fodder and both the ducks and chicks go nuts for it.
