    I did get him with two austra white hens and the hens seem to be growing a lot faster than he his. He doesn't have any feathers on his feet and he has grey ish legs.

    I picked out my rooster from a pen with a lot of different breeds in it at my local feed store. I thought he was an orpington but now that he's getting bigger I'm not sure. I'm new to raising chickens and can't figure out what he is. Thanks for the help!

  14. I put the light on a timer and set it to come on 30 minutes before dark and go off 2 hours after dark. I'll change the bulb to a heat lamp during the winter if the temp drops to low.
