    Sorry for your loss. Have you thought of using a game/trail camera? That way you would know if there was a 2 or 4 legged predator involved. It would just narrow down some of the possibilities. I hope you get some answers before you lose anymore. Please keep us posted.

    You did a great job! I agree about the chicken wire. It's just not strong enough! I underestimated predators once and lost a chicken because of it. I don't know what you have in your area but they(predators) will find your ducks.

    Try adding the water to the crumbles to make some mush. Do you have any of their eggs left? Scramble them up and try feeding this to them. You can also move this thread to the Emergencies/Diseases/Injuries and Cures section for more help. Good luck.

    Try this: Take their crumble and put some in a separate bowl/plate and add some water to make a mush. Our chickens think they are getting a great treat when its their regular food. Good luck. Please keep us posted. Buying a new bag of feed is a good idea.

    jennykpna - I have "chicken/barn shoes" that I only wear around my chickens. Your "going to town shoes" can bring illnesses home to your flock. Also if you have on nail polish sometimes chickens can think that your toes are bugs(or something to eat) and will peck at them.

    A molting chicken usually has a lot of "dander". Molting White Leghorn.
