They will kill your chickens and eat the egg's. They usually come out at dusk. If I see one in the day time I know there is something wrong with it. Keep the dog out till everyone is in and locked up tight.
I have traped several this summer. I went out at dark to check on everyone and found one eating the head of one of my silkie's. That one is no longer alive. I set my traps every night after that.
I caught a fox in a live trap today using left over chicken bones and craps from the kitchen table. I thought it would be another possum, but this morning there was this fox.
I put the roosting platform about 2 feet off the floor and the nesting box's are 4 in a row about 1 foot off the floor they like to get under it to sit alot allso. Hope that help's.
Well I let them out just before dusk lastnight and all the bo went out to the edge of the road I don't know why the grass is better there than 40 ft back. I stood out there and watched them. No one went across the road, but it's just the bo not the isa's must be the bred I guess. I can't fence...
