I think you are probably right. That was my suspicion. The lady had also sold me a "wyandotte" hen with feathered legs. I knew neither were what she said they were but she swore she knew better. I thought they were pretty and bought them anyway.
This Rooster was sold to me as a Dark Brahma but I suspect he is a mix. Any ideas on what he may be? His legs and feet aren't yellow and I feel his comb is wrong. Also I think his saddle feathers are wrong? I love him either way. I am just curious. Could he be mixed with cochin or wyandotte?
That one is definitely a cockerel lol but it is a cochin not a brahma. There are three 7 week old cochins, four 5 week old cochins, and the 5 brahmas all together in one pen. Thank you so much for your input though. It is looking to me like I have 5 brahma Pullets, but I wanted some other opinions.
I have 5 brahma chicks I'd appreciate some help sexing. I know that these pictures aren't great. I'll get better ones tonight, lord willing, but for the time being. What do you think of them? Three blue, blue/red. One buff/red. One black laced.
This is cricket my bantam cochin at 7, 10 and 13 weeks old. She is the same age as the salmon faverolle in the 2nd picture lol.
Her feet are a little dirty, she decided to play in the rain.
