@TheOddOneOut thank you so much for the news. Even if it's bad news lol
I'll definitely get right on the task of finding them new flocks to call their own.
They might be a bit younger than 5/6 months. But I am pretty sure they're pullets. One has always had less comb development than the rest.
Oh please let them all be pullets.
Interesting!
I thought lavender and blue were both terms for a grey bird.
However, I now see blues tend to have a darker head.
Thank you for your reply!
My pullets have grown and boy are they LEGGY! They're roughly 5 to 6 months old.
By this point my australorps were the typical round and fluffed out shape.
These are just so lanky. If I didn't already know they were hens, I'd suspect all roos.
Is blue jersey giant a thing? Are these truly...
Total and complete guess but I think the smaller one is a roo and the larger one is a pullet.
'Her' comb is smoother and her tail looks more round in the group photo.
Here's a bit clearer pic of them
Not sure why the pics are rotated.
The eyes seem the same size as my standard lavenders when they were about 3 months old. Time will tell I imagine
Thank you for taking a look. Im curious too, what makes you say bantams? They're already a hefty size and not yet of laying age.
Pics from this morning. Probably their first time seeing grass. Poor babies.
Got these 3 out of a "wait, those cute chicks get older and bigger? " type of situation. They were being kept in a very large cardboard box with the lid closed. No lights. Nothing...
Kids got bored of them, so time to sell.
They don't know what breed but I suspect buff orpington. I think I see...
Got the Tylocin a few days ago and added it to their water. They're doing much better.
They also had puffy, watery eyes with cherry looking tear ducts. But after a few days of being flushed with saline, they look better as well. Strange how one showed no symptoms, one showed minor and one I...
Eating relatively ok. Sometimes I have to tempt her with treats to get her interested in eating the crumbles.
Her and one other pullet have the puffy eye thing going on.
