It was dark, and I was wearing my LED headlamp on red...so not much. One of the pullets raised a fuss when I took her off the roost. Jacob was the calmest.
They're growing up.
Well stated.
I don't frequent certain stores due to location (busy, traffic, left turn only), but also clientele. If I frequently encounter people yelling, children running around unattended, lack of hygene, I stop going there to shop.
I do a lot of my shopping at Aldi's, as they have better...
My "chicks" observe their elders eating greens from my hands. They're still not sure about The Big One, but are getting closer to me when I bring "treats": tomatoes, grapes, BOSS, etc.
They're "bold". Chickadees have been my favorite bird since I started watching them. As a child I got a satellite bird feeder as a present, used it for years. Once while watching I saw a chickadee lean in too far, and find itself inside the feeder. So it turned around and exited, fun to watch...
My DS has been sick with fever, dry cough, PND. Has been to the doctor twice. Antibiotics didn't help, cough suppressant didn't work, Benadryl didn't dry up the PND. So he started using a Neti-pot yesterday, and is feeling a lot better, encouraged.
More about the home remedy...
Yesterday I picked/thinned some of the white turnips, (Miyama Wase Kokabu from Baker Creek), and cooked them this evening. They were delicious, 2" roots were tender, greens were mild, more like spinach or Swiss chard. I'm ordering more seeds for the Spring.
